What is Baybayin?

Baybayin/Kurida is one of multiple writing system that was throughout the Philippine archipelago. Baybayin because the systems most used amongst Tagalog speaking Filipinos prior to Spanish Colonization. One of many Southeast Asia abugidas, or alphasyllabary, where any consonant is pronounced with the inherent vowel a following it—diacritics/kudlíts being used to express other vowels. Many of these writing systems descended from ancient alphabets used in India over 2000 years ago.

An abugida is a writing system between syllabic and alphabetic scripts. They have sequences of consonants and vowels that are written as a unit, each based on the consonant letter. Vowels must be written down as well, but they are secondary. Each syllables are built up of consonants, each of which has an inherent vowel.

All our wooden toys are sealed with a non-toxic, zero VOC, hypoallergenic food-grade finish. We recommend refinishing your wood toys with a similar food-grade finish to extend the life and beauty of the natural wood.

When will my order ship?

From the next business day after order has been placed production times of your order will take 1-2 weeks depending on order size and place in queue. We make your toys upon order and we do our best to get orders out as soon as possible. And email confirmation with tracking number will be sent automatically once your order is shipped out.

How will my order ship and what is the delivery time?

Orders shipping in the U.S. and internationally will primarily ship via priority United States Postal Service. With delayed shipping times due to Covid 19 please allow for 7-10 business days to receive your order upon being shipped.
